Identity verification traditionally requires travel to a dedicated police station, custody office or security facility – a time-consuming and resource intensive process for the security professional as well as the individual.  Other solutions require dedicated hardware, which is often bulky, expensive and not suitable for carrying on-person.

Biocapture is a simple smartphone app designed from the ground up with ease-of-use and speed in mind. It was created for non-technical users and with minimal training required to use the system effectively. The location of fingers is detected and visualized using augmented reality. A built-in visual quality assessment feature shows a live preview of the fingerprint quality, based on NIST NFIQ 2. The capturing process will stop automatically as soon a certain quality threshold has been reached.
